Nature Retreat - Venue Hire


Shambala is a 118-acre farm property with 50 acres of natural bush, adjoining the State Forest, 15 minutes drive from Margaret River. This beautiful farm is set in some of the best vineyards in the world and surrounded by natural Australian bush with wildflowers and many varieties of Australian birds. 


Our venue is available for hire for your retreats, corporate & team building getaways, rejuvenating stays, special occasions, and functions and includes the Meeting House, as well as the Yoga Shala located next door and the surrounding areas. Find more information below.

Retreat Center Hire Margaret River

'The Meeting House', the main dwelling of our retreat center,  has been designed and built eco-consciously in a way that can only be described as a luxury holistic retreat for like-minded seekers to enjoy this Paradise – a place for people to come together, meet each other, and themselves more deeply, relax, heal, restore and grow spiritually.

Architectural and Solar-Passive Design Features include:

  • Rammed-earth walls

  • Maximum savings orientation

  • Breeze through windows for cooling in summer

  • Concrete floor north-facing for warmth in winter

  • Central wood fire

  • Rainwater tanks

  • Limited LED lighting

  • Cross-ventilation

  • Sustainable materials used (jarrah and marri timber felled on the property for flooring and cupboards, limestone rammed earth, some oil lamps for lighting)

  • water harvesting and saving features include above-ground rainwater storage, Low-flow showerheads, low-flow taps and drip irrigation

  • next to the meeting house is an established 35m lavender labyrinth 

  • direct access to the neighbouring State Forest acces

The Meeting House offers cosy sleeps
 in private single and twin-alcoves.

The beds are laid out as followed:

Accommodation fees include


all organic cotton bed linen ready and waiting for you, eco-cotton (free of nasty chemicals) towels, eco-cotton tea towels, toilet paper (recycled eco: Who Gives a Crap),


eco-friendly cleaning products, locally made natural mini-soap block by each sink and a fully equipped domestic kitchen.

Ecosa eco mattresses.

Our adjacent 'Yoga Shala' is also part of the parcel.

The Yoga Shala

Nestled amongst our marri and jarrah forest and next door to the Meeting House is our Shala.

A safe and sacred space to hold you,

ground you, nurture and open you,

as you journey through explorations of body, mind and spirit.

The Shala is about 88 sqm, features timber flooring, two large roller doors opening the space up towards its foresty front yard, and has access to the attached tea kitchen and bathroom.

As for equipment for retreats and events,

the Meeting House features a large whiteboard on wheels, 23 folding chairs, a couple of large fold-out tables and floor cushions. A projector & projector screen and PA sound system are available at an extra hire fee, as well.



Glamping Bell Tents


can be hired via our friends from Wild Goose Camping, available seasonally, from late Sept/early October 2022 until April/May at Shambala.

Healthy and fresh wholefood catering, from grazing plates to fine-dining experiences, is also an option depending on availability and will be tailored to your needs and desires.

Traditional Sacred Sweat Lodge ceremonies are starting up from winter 2023.

Venue Hire- half/day, hourly, hire entire venue

You have the option to

  • hire the full venue incl. Meeting House, Yoga Shala and surrounding and outdoor areas from 2> nights or more.

  • hire separate spaces (meeting house, shala, an outdoor or the tipi area) at an hourly/ half or full day rate. .

  • The Meeting House can be hired on an hourly basis throughout the week, weekends are reserved for overnight stays.
